We do our best to find recipes suitable for many diets — whether vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc. — but we cannot guarantee that a recipe's ingredients are safe for your diet. Always read ingredient lists from the original source (follow the link from the "Instructions" field) in case an ingredient has been incorrectly extracted from the original source or has been labeled incorrectly in any way. Moreover, it is important that you always read the labels on every product you buy to see if the product could cause an allergic reaction or if it conflicts with your personal or religious beliefs. If you are still not sure after reading the label, contact the manufacturer.

We also attempt to estimate the cost and calculate the nutritional information for the recipes found on our site. Again, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information. Turkey Chili can be paired with Cava, Shiraz, and Grenache. These juicy reds don't have too much tannin (important for spicy foods), but a sparkling wine like cava can tame the heat even better. You could try Weinert Cavas de Weinert. Reviewers quite like it with a 4.7 out of 5 star rating and a price of about 26 dollars per bottle.

Weinert Cavas de Weinert

Deep ruby tone with purple sparkles springs up its stable and vigorous structure. Its tannic richness guarantees its longevity, but discreet ripe fruit prevails. A balanced full-bodied wine that has reminiscente fragrantes of oak on the long finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot.

Instructions

1. Gently heat the oil in a large pot. Do not let it smoke! 2. Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and jalapenos. Saute over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes. 3. Add all powdered spices and stir to coat vegetables. 4. Add turkey. Saute for three or four minutes, until just cooked through. Use your spoon or spatula to break it up. 5. Drain the juice from the peeled tomatoes into your chili pot. Then finely chop the tomatoes and add them as well. Stir. 6. Add the black beans, the beer, and the soy sauce. Stir. 7. Add cilantro and stir well. 8. Cover and allow to simmer over low heat for five to ten minutes. Then turn off the heat and let it rest for about fifteen minutes before serving. 9. Optional Garnishes: Top with low-fat sour cream, grated cheese, avocado slices, chopped green onions, or anything else that suits your fancy! I love to eat it with tortilla chips.
