When we made our free meal planning tool, we knew it would be useful for people who need help with organizing their favorite recipes and products, finding new recipes and products to try, and tracking their nutrition goals. However, using our meal planner doesn't save you from having to plan what to eat, unless you're okay with rolling the dice and letting it generate your meal plan for you. We figure most people prefer some control over what goes on their plan, which is why we added our new community meal plans.
To go along with those meal plans, we decided to start offering one complete weekly meal plan here on our blog. You can save any plan from this series to your saved meal plans and tweak it as you see fit.
Free Paleo Meal Plan - First Up
For the first of our free plans, we've decided to go with one of the "it" diets right now - the Paleo diet. This meal plan is certainly not the strictest Paleo meal plan you can find, but it's a delicious and fun one using recipes from Paleo blogs across the web. For more information about the Paleo diet, read our article about different diets in the academy.
The plan is complete with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and (optional) desserts. The nutritional information is based on one serving of each recipe - if it's not enough calories for you, eat an additional serving at one (or more) of the meals. You can duplicate the recipe(s) to reflect the added servings in the nutritional information breakdown.
That said, here are the main courses for dinner that you'll find:
Monday | Kale salad with salmon, pomegranate and orange coconut vinaigrette from Food Faith Fitness |
Tuesday | Lettuce bacon burger from Paleoaholic |
Wednesday | Weeknight salmon cakes from EverydayMaven |
Thursday | Frittata with tomato, bacon, and fresh herbs from Confessions of an Overworked Mom with cauliflower rice a la An Edible Mosaic |
Friday | Chicken Parmesan from Fed & Fit |
Saturday | Meatloaf from Healthy Recipes with spicy Brussels sprouts from MyRecipes |
Sunday | Chicken pepper stir-fry from Paleo Living Magazine with basic cauliflower rice from Gimme Delicious |
