Instructions

1.In a bowl, crumble the Khoya,then add Maida and cooking soda to it.

2.Mix well and make as a soft dough by adding water little by little.Make as a firm and soft dough.

3.Once made, Let it sit for some time.

4.Meanwhile,prepare the sugar syrup.Boil water ,add sugar to it.Allow it to boil and add saffron strands and cardamom powder till it reaches double string consistency.Switch Off and Keep aside.

5.Make equal sized balls in the dough and place in a plate.Heat oil/ghee,Keep it on medium flame. Don’t overheat the oil. It should be in medium low flame.

6.Drop the jamun ball in batches, fry on both sides well.Then drain and place it in Kitchen tissue.

7.Transfer fried jamuns to Sugar syrup. The syrup must be warm not as too hot.

8.Let it sit for 2 hrs and serve.
